Lions & Leo Club of Bishal Bazar Kathmandu, in association with, Bishal Bazar Company, Bishal Bazar Byapar Sangh, Kamana News Publications Private Ltd. and CyberSansar, is organizing a Peace Rally on November 21, 2009 (Saturday).
The rally starts from Bishal Bazar, New Road at 7:30 am sharp. The route of the rally would be Bishal Bazar-Basantapur-Naradevi-Chhetrapati-Thamel-Ason-Indrachock-Bishal Bazaar.
Bharat Lal Shrestha, Chairman of Bishal Bazar Company said, “Whether it is through Lions, Leo, Company or Byapar Sangh, Bishal Bazar has been very active in social welfare activities. From providing free ambulance service to clinics, our goal has always been to contribute, in any way we can, to achieve broad based sustainable development. The country had been peaceful for sometime but the signs of disturbances have shown up. We just want to send a clear message to the political leaders to solve the issues peacefully through dialogue.”
“We chose to do it on Saturday because we did not want to block traffic and disturb others in the name of Peace Rally. Even on Saturday, we chose early morning hours. If we want a prosperous Nepal, it is a high time now that we show it by your actions, not just by talking”, added Sarina Shrestha, coordinator of the Peace Rally and a member of Leo Club of Bishal Bazar.
People from all walks of life would be joining the peace rally. We request you to join the rally to make it a grand success. Just by walking few kilometers, you will be contributing for a noble cause.
Kamana News Publications is celebrating its Silver Jubilee by organizing 25 events throughout the year. Peace Rally marks the beginning of those celebrations.
